Does genetics used in medicine????

Image
The branch of biology which deals with the study of the genetic variation, genes, and heredity in the organisms is known as genetics . Genetics is one of the processes which works with the combination of an organisms environment and experiences to influences the development and b behavior which often referred to as nature versus nurture. Genetics had given rise to so many numbers of subfields which include epigenetics , molecular genetics, and population genetics . Genetics tries to identify the traits which are inherited and explain how those traits are passed from generation to generation. Some of the traits are a part of the physical appearance of the organisms such as a person’s height, eye color, and weight. Genetics plays a very important role in not only understanding the cause of the disease but also helps in recognizing the manner in which the individual responds to the particular therapies. Drug metabolism which is one of the fields  which is under the control...

DOES CANCER CAUSED BY CHANGES IN DNA????

Image
The group of diseases which are involved in the abnormal cell growth with the potential   to spread or invade to other parts of the body   is known as cancer . These cancer cells can also spread to other parts of the body through the lymph systems and blood. The main symptoms and signs includes abnormal bleeding, lumps, prolonged cough, unexplained weight loss, and changes in bowel movements.   Carcinoma is one of the types of cancer which starts with the skin or the tissues which line the other organs. Sarcoma is also a type of cancer of the connective tissue like muscles, cartilage, bones, and blood vessels. Leukemia is also a type of cancer which mainly infects the bone marrow and creates the blood cells. Lymphoma and myeloma are also a type of cancer which mainly   infects the immune system. Cancer is a genetic disease which is mainly caused by the certain changes in the genes which controls the function of the cells and especially how they grow and...

DOES COVID-19 IS CONFIRMED THROUGH PCR TESTING????

Image
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a test which is used to detect the genetic material from a specific organism like virus. This test will helps in detecting the virus which is already infected in our body. The majority of PCR mainly rely in thermal cycling. The machine which is used for PCR testing is thermal cycler. PCR is also called as “molecular photocopying”. The process of PCR mainly undergoes in three steps which are denaturation, annealing and elongation. Denaturation is the first process which is used to denature the double stranded DNA by breaking the hydrogen bonds maintaining the temperature at   94–98 °C for 20-30 seconds. Annealing is the next step where the temperature is lowered to   50–65 °C for 20–40 seconds and the primers are added. Each of the primer are attached to the strands of DNA at the 3′ end of each strand. Elongation is the next step where the new DNA strands are synthesized from 5′-to-3′ end by adding the dNTPs. Reverse Transcriptase...
