DOES CANCER CAUSED BY CHANGES IN DNA????
The group of diseases which are involved in the
abnormal cell growth with the potential to spread or invade to other parts of the body
is known as cancer. These cancer
cells can also spread to other parts of the body through the lymph systems and
blood. The main symptoms and signs includes abnormal bleeding, lumps, prolonged
cough, unexplained weight loss, and changes in bowel movements.
Carcinoma
is one of the types of cancer which starts with the skin or the tissues which
line the other organs. Sarcoma is also a type of cancer of the connective
tissue like muscles, cartilage, bones, and blood vessels. Leukemia is also a
type of cancer which mainly infects the bone marrow and creates the blood
cells. Lymphoma
and myeloma are also a type of cancer which mainly infects the immune system.
Cancer is a genetic
disease which is mainly caused by the certain changes in the genes which
controls the function of the cells and especially how they grow and divide. These
genes carry the instructions to make proteins which do more work in our cells. But
if the DNA damage occurs to the gene which makes the DNA repair protein, a cell
has less ability to repair itself so the errors will build up in the other
genes over time and allows the cancer cells to develop.
